Eminem was known to be in the studio with T.I. and produced threetracks, two of which were produced for T.I.'s album, T.I. vs. T.I.P.,and one for Eminem's album.
On May 24, 2007, Aftermath Entertainment and Shady Records labelmate 50Cent indicated that Eminem is preparing a new solo album, though he didnot give an official release date. 50 Cent also confirmed he will befeatured in the album; in fact, during an interview with the UKmagazine Loaded, he said that he has "laid down a track" with Eminemfor Mathers' new LP . Ca$his, another Shady Records labelmate, alsoattested to the new album, referring to it as "King Mathers". He saidthat it would be released in 2007, and that he would also be featuredon the album.
On August 1, 2007, Eminem's publicist, Dennis Dennehy, said that thereis no album scheduled for a 2007 release, and claimed that theKingMathers.com website is "bogus". Despite this, he did not deny analbum in the works.
In an interview with HipHopDX.com, Stat Quo also confirmed that a new Eminem album will be released.
On September 12, 2007, Eminem called in to the New York City basedradio station Hot 97 to congratulate 50 Cent on Curtis, released theday before. Eminem stated that right now he is in "limbo" and that hedoes not know if and when he will release his next album.
